Born from the hands-on experience of a Quebec roofer, the ProtecMi ladder stabilizer is much more than a simple accessory — it’s a concrete solution to a real safety concern. After witnessing too many colleagues get injured due to unstable ladders, Patrick Perreault, a roofing foreman with 25 years of experience, decided to develop a reliable, simple, and fast-acting solution. After seven years of testing and prototyping, he partnered with André Boucher to launch ProtecMi across Quebec and Canada.

Designed, manufactured, and assembled locally from Quebec aluminum, this universal stabilizer represents local ingenuity and a strong commitment to jobsite safety. It was recognized by CNESST as an outstanding innovation, winning the Grand Prix for Occupational Health and Safety in 2020.

The ProtecMi ladder stabilizer was designed by an experienced roofer to address a critical safety need on worksites. With two anchoring mechanisms, it firmly secures the ladder to the roof or wall, preventing any slipping, shifting, or vibration — even on sloped or uneven surfaces.

Installation takes less than two minutes and requires no specialized tools. The device is compatible with all ladder types and brands, whether made of aluminum, fiberglass, or wood.

Suitable for flat roofs, sloped roofs, with or without parapets, the stabilizer features an adjustable angle system allowing the ladder to be positioned at safe incline ratios of one-third or one-quarter. The non-slip pads further increase ladder stability and significantly reduce the risk of falls.

The result of seven years of research and development, this Quebec-made product is crafted from high-strength local aluminum and assembled in the Lanaudière region.
