The 3M™ FD 150+ firestop sealant is a latex-based, elastomeric, gun-applied sealant that cures upon exposure to air to form a monolithic, flexible fire-resistant joint. When properly applied, this sealant helps limit the spread of fire, smoke, and toxic gases before, during, and after a fire and provides excellent adhesion to a wide range of building substrates.

A proven, ready-to-use fire protection solution, the 3M™ FD 150+ firestop sealant is a latex-based elastomeric sealant. This gun-applied sealant cures as it is dispensed to form a monolithic, flexible fire-resistant joint. When properly installed, it provides up to 4 hours of fire protection in tested and approved systems. 3M formulated this sealant to help prevent the spread of fire, smoke, and toxic gases, as well as to seal fire-rated joints and penetrations in floor slabs, walls, and other fire-rated building assemblies. This firestop sealant provides continuous sealing with ±19% movement capability for construction joints and typical pipe movement. It offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of construction substrates.

The 3M™ FD 150+ firestop sealant also acts as an acoustic barrier by minimizing sound transmission (STC rating of up to 56 in a tested wall assembly). Water-based in formulation, this 3M firestop sealant allows easy application, cleanup, and removal. Its high-solids formula reduces shrinkage. It is halogen-free, resists sagging, and provides excellent caulking performance compared to conventional sealants. It skins over in 30 to 60 minutes and can be painted. It is also designed to be repairable and reworkable.
