• The 40Vmax XGT Li-ion battery and original Makita brushless motor deliver power equal to or greater than corded models, reducing the risk of belt speed drop under heavy load.
• The 40Vmax XGT battery is positioned above the sanding belt at the front of the tool to ensure even pressure on the sanding surface, allowing smoother sanding results.
• The angle of the two LED work lights with afterglow function can be manually adjusted according to the working position (from 15° upward to 30° downward, with 0° being horizontal).
• The flat top surface of the housing allows the tool to be used as a stationary belt sander with the optional guide rule (1915E3-1), sold separately.
• The dust bag features an anti-drop locking mechanism that prevents it from falling under its own weight when the tool is used vertically, such as during wall sanding.
• The adjustable front handle can be rotated tool-free and locked every 30°, between 30° backward and 60° forward, with 0° being vertical.
• Edge sanding along walls is possible by setting the front handle vertically 0° or 30° backward.
