• Pin punches are used to install and drive pins out of holes

• The octagonal shape is easier to grip when striking with a hammer and also prevents the tool from rolling away when placed on a surface
• The tip is ground and polished
• The material core design prevents mushrooming of the striking head
• Tools are tempered to a hardness of 54 to 58 HRC - not just at the tip but throughout the entire length of the tool
