The POWERMATIC 209-1 planer, reference 1791296, brings boards to a uniform thickness for cabinetmaking and furniture production. Its 5 HP motor and 20 in. planing capacity accommodate wide stock. The four-knife high-speed steel cutterhead and selectable feed rates allow operation to be matched to the material and desired finish.

• Four-knife straight high-speed steel cutterhead operating at 5,000 RPM to deliver 20,000 cuts per minute.
• Oil-bath gearbox provides two feed rates of 24 and 31 ft./min; the included gear kit allows these to be replaced with 16 and 20 ft./min.
• Cast iron base, table and head provide machine rigidity and help reduce vibration.
• Precision-ground cast iron table supported by four steel columns.
• Cast iron table extensions provide a total working surface of 55-1/2 × 20 in.
• Corrugated infeed roller and fine-groove outfeed roller provide stock feeding.
